Day 01 :

Sirimon Gate to Old Moses Camp (Judmaier Camp)

First, depart from Nanyuki and drive to the Sirimon Park Gate for registration and briefing. Subsequently, begin your trek through the dense montane forest and bamboo zones, keeping an eye out for local wildlife. After covering approximately 9 kilometers with a steady 860-meter ascent, you will arrive at Old Moses Camp (3,300m) for dinner and your first night under the stars.

Day 02 :

Old Moses Camp to Shipton Camp

Moving forward after breakfast, the trail crosses the Ontulili River and climbs steeply through the moorland zone into the expansive Mackinders Valley. As a result of the steady climb, you gain valuable altitude while enjoying incredible vistas of the main peaks. After a 6 to 7-hour trek covering 17 kilometers with a 900-meter ascent, you will reach Shipton Camp (4,200m) to rest and prepare for the pre-dawn summit push.

Day 03 :

Shipton Camp to Point Lenana Summit & Descent to Gate / Nanyuki

Finally, embark on a pre-dawn start around 3:00 AM, tackling the steep scree slope up to Point Lenana (4,985m) just in time to catch the breathtaking sunrise over Mount Kilimanjaro. Afterward, descend back to Shipton Camp for a hot breakfast before continuing your descent down the mountain to the park exit gate, where your transfer vehicle waits to bring you back to Nanyuki.
