A binding reservation is officially established once we receive a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total itinerary cost. Subsequently, the remaining 70% balance must be settled in full exactly 45 days prior to your scheduled departure date. If a booking is initiated within 45 days of transit, full payment is required immediately at registration under our standard company policy.
Mountaineering expeditions on Mount Kenya and Mount Kilimanjaro involve inherent physical risks. Therefore, all participants must provide verified comprehensive travel insurance covering high-altitude technical rescue up to 6,000 meters. Consequently, our professional mountain guides retain absolute authority to alter itineraries or halt any summit attempts due to severe weather changes or signs of acute mountain sickness (AMS). If a traveler requests a cancellation, it must be submitted to our offices in writing. As a result, the following penalty scales apply relative to your notification window:
More than 45 days prior: Loss of the initial 30% booking deposit.
Between 44 and 30 days prior: A 50% cancellation fee is enforced.
Fewer than 30 days prior: No refunds will be issued.
Furthermore, we are not responsible for extra accommodation or route adjustments caused by flight cancellations, industrial strikes, or force majeure events.
